Unity and Diversity: About the Theme

During divisive and hard times people seek peace and tranquility through practical spiritual means. Buddhism teaches tolerance and acceptance. It offers time-tested methods to foster equanimity, compassion, and kindness.

Unique in America and the Pacific Northwest, Buddhists interact and support each other across various denominations. Our traditions are diverse, yet we are united in our reverence for the Three Jewels of Buddha, Dharma, and Sangha. Join this family-friendly event to find out more, and connect with our many communities.

In the face of anger, greed, and willful ignorance, we seek healing, mending, wholeness, tolerance, acceptance, peace. Buddhism offers an opportunity for relief, and for skillful response.

It is possible to be united and diverse. We are one, and we are many. We are different, and we are of the same human race.
